PETALING JAYA: US Ambassador to Malaysia Brian D. McFeeters got a first-hand look at the Star Media Group (SMG) operations during a visit to Menara Star here.

       In a courtesy visit that began at 10am yesterday, the envoy met SMG chairman Tan Sri Chor Chee Heung, chief executive officer Alex Yeow, chief content officer Esther Ng, managing editor Brian Martin, chief news editor Paul Gabriel, news editor Simon Khoo and online editor Michelle Tam.

       McFeeters, who was posted to Kuala Lumpur in February, was taken on a tour of the news floor and later held a closed door meeting with the top management.

       The envoy and his entourage were briefed on SMG’s variety of products and events, both print and digital.

       Accompanying him were the embassy’s senior information specialist Hisham Selamat, press attaché Michelle N. Kevern, information specialist Fiona Teo and photographer Safuan Abdullah.
