A man was found shot to death early Monday in a car at a Waukegan gas station, police said.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was found dead in the driver’s seat of a 2014 Chrysler 300 in the 2100 block of North Green Bay Road, police said.

Waukegan police responded to the area at around 5 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire, and found the man in his car in the gas station parking area, the department said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim is a Zion resident in his 20s, according to police, who said a full identity would be released following an autopsy by the Lake County coroner’s office and notification of next of kin.
Police said no one is in custody and a motive is not known. Officers recovered some shell casings at the scene, and the investigation is continuing.
