A MUM and boyfriend will stand trial charged over the death of a baby boy who allegedly suffered "sadistic assaults" before his death.
Jacob Lennon died from a severe head injury after collapsing at his home in Putney, South West London.

The 15-month-old had been rushed to hospital after medics received a 999 call saying he was not breathing.
His mum Louise Lennon, 31, and her boyfriend Jake Drummond, 32, have both been charged in connection with his death.
Lennon today denied child cruelty and causing or allowing the death of a child when she appeared at the Old Bailey today.
Drummond pleaded not guilty to murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm between July 1 and August 27 2019.
A provisional trial date of February 6 next year has been set.
The prosecution say Jacob's death was the culmination of a "concerted sadistic series of assaults".

He was allegedly subjected to “systematic abuse” before his death in August 2019.
A post-mortem found injuries that were consistent with long-term abuse, with the tot’s cause of death recorded as head injuries.
Drummond was remanded in custody while Lennon was bailed ahead of a hearing on May 27.
