KUALA LUMPUR: AEON Co. (M) Bhd (AEON) brings good news to Pokemon’s fans by hosting the 25th Pokemon Trading Card Games (TCG) exhibition at AEON Mall Metro Prima here.
The exhibition that takes place from Jan 28 to Feb 13 is being held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Pokemon TCG.
Pokemon is hugely popular since 1990s among the Malaysian fans as well as the broader Southeast Asia region.
Naritomo Yamazaki, chief executive officer of AEON Fantasy (M) Sdn Bhd who is instrumental in showcasing the exhibition said, “We are as excited as the Pokemon’s fans with this exhibition.
“It provides the opportunity to relive the fond memories of interacting with the games’ characters while at the same time to know about its latest evolution and to getting closer with the games’ community for various activities including exchanges and trading of Pokemon collectors’ items such as cards and figurines.”
According to Tsutomu Motomura, deputy managing director of AEON who graced the opening ceremony, “We in AEON are grateful and honoured to be the first mall in Malaysia to host the Pokemon Exhibition organised in conjunction with Pokemon Trading Card Games’ 25th anniversary celebration.”
“AEON is more than just a new retail as we continuously strive to provide pleasant and new experience to our customers, for them to create beautiful memories while they are with us.
“We are so happy to welcome Pokemon’s fans to gather here for a fun-filled day with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) observed,” added Motomura.
The exhibition showcases Pokemon TCG: Celebrations cards, Pokemon TCG: Sword and Shield - Evolving Skies, and Pokemon TCG: Sword and Shield - Fusion Strike expansion sets.
Fans will have the opportunity to trade their cards, watch the demonstration of the latest video game, Pokemon legend: Arceus, play the Pokemon Ga-Ole and purchase official Pokemon products and merchandise.
Fans will also be able to watch Pikachu’s appearance on Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm which includes Meet and Greet, walkabout and dancing sessions.
