KUALA LUMPUR: Cabinet Ministers have been instructed to present a report card to the people for them to evaluate their performance in the first 100 days in office.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic) said the implementation of initiatives by ministers is based on six core principles including restructuring the economy and guaranteeing the country’s security and order.
The other core principles set are to boost social wellbeing, increase infrastructure, strengthen unity in the Malaysian Family, and enhance delivery.
“I had a session with the ministers where I interviewed them to determine their KPI list.
“The ministers have been asked to announce their Malaysian Family Aspiration Performance 100-day report card to the people so that they can evaluate the ministers and ministries’ performance.
“The government places the ministers’ performance as a high priority so that they will provide top service to the people,” he said in a statement on Thursday (Sept 30).
The Prime Minister said the office of the Chief Secretary to the Government, Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu) as well as the Shared Prosperity Delivery Unit (Sepadu) will act as coordinators to ensure that the planning, implementation, monitoring and improvement of each aspiration of the Malaysian Family by the ministers can be achieved with excellence.
“The performance of each minister will be evaluated based on three main elements: ministry performance, leadership evaluation and public perception.
The 100-day evaluation period for Cabinet ministers started on Sept 1.
On Aug 27, when announcing his Cabinet line-up, Ismail Sabri said all appointed Cabinet ministers were given 100 days to prove themselves.
