A TEACHER was accused of being “snobbish” and “useless” by a student for not replying to his queries about his homework.

       The harsh words from the student were revealed by the teacher’s colleague, reported Sin Chew Daily and China Press.

       The colleague, known only as Zhao, posted a screenshot of the messages from the student, whom they did not know.

       Apparently, the student had sent the teacher an image of his homework at 11.31am on Nov 22.

       About 16 minutes later, when he did not get a reply, the student sent a follow-up message, nudging him: “Teacher?”

       The next evening, the student sent another message containing vulgarity and questioned the teacher for not replying to him.

       A day later, the student sent more messages. “You are not fit to be a teacher, you know?”, said the student, in addition to calling the teacher “snobbish” and a “useless thing”.

       Both Zhao and his colleague are with a Chinese independent middle school in Malaysia.

       Zhao, who felt for his colleague, explained that teachers would usually get hundreds of messages daily.

       “Sometimes, my students’ messages get buried at the bottom. They have been understanding.

       “If they see no reply from me, they would usually remind me, but certainly not use any vulgarity.

       “I feel sad seeing this,” he wrote on Facebook.

       Zhao noted that students were becoming less courteous.

       “Some didn’t even bother to reply after they got the answers they wanted. How should a teacher feel about this?” he asked.
