PUTRAJAYA: Bukit Aman Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Razarudin Husain (pic) has been appointed as the new Deputy Inspector-General Police, effective Dec 26.
His appointment was made official after he received the appointment letter, presented by Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin in a ceremony at the ministry's headquarters on Wednesday (Dec 22).
He will take over from current Deputy IGP Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim, who will be retiring.
Among others who were present at the ceremony were Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz.
Prior to becoming the NCID director, Comm Razarudin was the Perak police chief.
