PETALING JAYA: Maxis Bhd will be featuring the performances of street musicians using a technology known as "virtual cube" in conjunction with its Riang Raya Maxis campaign.

With the technology, the musicians, including people with disabilities (PWD) would be able to perform at "dozens of places at once."

"These ‘cubes’ are open to the public at NU Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, and Kota Baru Mall, Kota Baru, while the songs they perform will also be played at Maxis stores nationwide," Maxis said in a statement.

The telco is collaborating with Persatuan OKU Sentral to work with the PWD who are musicians, whose performances will be featured on the virtual cubes.

Maxis said Malaysians can also share their "rezeki" by scanning the QR code on the cubes to donate directly to Persatuan OKU Sentral.

The telco said it aimed to enable Malaysians to come together to unlock new possibilities through the power of technology and Hari Raya songs while bringing to life its "Rangkaian Kita, Rangkaian Malaysia" commitment launched early this year.

"We believe that technology should enable and connect everyone, in every possible way, so that we can always be ahead together,” said Maxis head of brand and marketing Tai Kam Leong.

In conjunction with the campaign, Maxis is launching its festive film, Last Kopek.

The film is about a group of resilient musicians, who rely on each other to make the most of their abilities despite challenges.

"The film celebrates the drive and inspiration of various communities around the country while inviting viewers to share Raya blessings with them, by sharing their music on digital platforms," it said.
