KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd is targeting greater involvement of private medical practitioners (PMPs) to provide greater accessibility and expand the reach of the Covid-19 vaccine booster dose delivery nationwide.
Its chief executive officer Datuk Dr Anas Alam Faizli said ProtectHealth would, through PMPs, continue to assist and work together with the Health Ministry to speed up and maximise implementation of the booster doses.
"To date, over 3,699 PMPs have registered with ProtectHealth and 2,352 operate at vaccination centres (PPV) in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme and the National Covid-19 Immunisation Adolescent Programme.
"The implementation of the booster dose will be led by PMPs under the coordination of ProtectHealth,” he said in a statement on Friday (Oct 22).
ProtectHealth strongly encourages all PMPs who are interested to participate to register via its website (www.protecthealth.com.my).
As of Wednesday (Oct 20) it said, ProtectHealth successfully contributed 48% of total vaccinations nationwide, equivalent to 23.02 million doses. – Bernama
