PETALING JAYA: Four areas in Selangor will be under an enhanced movement control order from Wednesday (June 30) to July 13, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic).
The Senior Minister said that the enhanced MCO will be enforced at the Gamuda Gardens in Kundang Jaya, Taman Murni in Sepang, the Sri Ayu Apartment in Bandar Baru Bangi and the Johan Setia Centralised Labour Quarters (CLQ) in Klang.
He added on Monday (June 28) that other localities in Pahang, Sabah and Sarawak will also come under the enhanced MCO during the same period.
They are Taman Benus Jaya Flat in Bentong, Pahang; Sungai Balung workers' quarters, in Tawau, Kampung Durok brick factory workers’ quarters and Kampung Limbawan Sayur in Keningau, Kampung Linukaan in Kota Marudu, Kampung Timbagan, Matunggong, Kampung Perpaduan Gumpa and Kampung Perpaduan 2 in Kudat in Sabah as well as Kampung Tematu, Jalan Batu Kitang in Kuching, Sarawak.
Meanwhile, the enhanced MCO in Bukit Dinding, Sarawak, and at the foreign workers dormitory in Tangkak, Johor, will be extended until July 13.
On SOP compliance enforcement, the authorities issued compound notices to 779 people on Sunday (June 27). A further 87 people were remanded.
Seventeen illegal immigrants were also arrested as part of Ops Benteng.
"Moving from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan is not tied to any dates, but instead, the three indicators set by the government previously.
"If the three indicators are reached successfully, then the NRP moves into the next phase. The faster we reach the targets of the three indicators, the faster we can transition to the next phase," he said.
To enable the transition to Phase Two, the average daily cases of Covid-19 should drop below 4,000, the public health system should be out of critical stage including the rate of bed use in ICUs returning to moderate levels, and 10% of the population should have received two doses of vaccine jabs.
