KUALA LUMPUR: Doctors and nurses were among the 25 people booked by police nationwide so far for involvement in selling fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates.
Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) Comm Datuk Mohd Kamarudin Md Din said those detained comprised three doctors, three nurses, 11 members of the public, seven agents and a clinic employee.
“We have detected nine cases since last month in several states including Terengganu, Selangor and Sabah. Most of the investigations are almost completed.
“There are also other cases connected to this issue as well. The investigations will be completed soon,” he said yesterday.
Comm Mohd Kamarudin said the latest case involved the sale of fake vaccination certificates in Kinarut, Sabah, last week.
