GEORGE TOWN: Two factory buses parked along Persiaran Paya Terubong, Relau, were damaged in what is believed to be an act of arson.
Several videos and photos taken shortly after the fire showed one of the buses engulfed in flames with plumes of thick, black smoke rising from the scene.
Another one parked next to it was partially burnt during the 2am incident early Thursday (March 3).
No casualties were reported.
After receiving a distress call, firemen rushed to the scene to put out the fire.
OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong confirmed the incident, adding that the Fire and Rescue Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
