       MALAYSIAN singer Fish Leong (pic) missed her chance at the Golden Melody Awards after failing to register for the competition this year, reported China Press.

       The 43-year-old from Bahau, Negri Sembilan, who is a six-time nominee, only realised that she had missed the deadline after a fan asked her about it online.

       “I was too busy preparing for my new album last year and for Wonderful Life (a TV series) that I forgot to apply before the deadline!” she said.

       Leong hopes to have another go at the prestigious awards in the future.

       For her latest album The Sonnet of Three Days, the Queen of Ballads was nominated for the Golden Melody Awards in October last year for Best Female Vocalist (Mandarin) but did not win.

       > Taiwanese singer Selena Jen was seen hurriedly shopping for groceries and rushing home, presumably to make dinner for two – herself and her new beau, reported China Press.

       The 40-year-old was seen picking up vegetables and fruits as she spoke on the phone at a supermarket recently, sparking talk that her boyfriend was on the other end of the line.

       She then hopped onto a taxi and headed home.

       Asked if she was rushing home to cook for her boyfriend, Jen’s manager only confirmed that she would be the one cooking.

       Jen has said she and her boyfriend enjoy cooking together.

       A divorcee, Jen confirmed that she had started dating again earlier this year after being photographed with a man in China.

       The singer rose to fame in 2001 with Ella Chen and Hebe Tien of the all-girl group S.H.E.

       Jen married lawyer Richard Chang in 2011 but they divorced in 2016.

       In 2010, she suffered third-degree burns on more than half of her body while filming the TV series I Have a Date with Spring in Shanghai.> Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong is said to be dating someone new after he was spotted having dinner with a long-haired woman recently, reported China Press.

       The 41-year-old was photographed having dinner with three others, one of whom was a woman who looked like actress Selena Lee Sze Wa.

       She appeared to be having a good time and was seen chatting and laughing with Wong.

       When contacted, he clarified that the woman was just a friend.

       “It was just a few friends sharing a meal. They were wishing me well and hoped that I would get the best actor award.

       “We had wanted to get more people along. However, at that time the four-to-a-table dining restriction was still on,” said the actor who had been involved in several high-profile relationships including with actress Myolie Wu.

       The two co-starred in the popular TVB drama War of In-Laws and dated for eight years before breaking up in 2014.
