A man was shot in the leg Monday afternoon aboard a Metro train at the Columbia Heights station in Northwest Washington, officials said.
Metro spokesman Ian Jannetta said the report of the shooting at the normally busy station in the 3000 block of 14th Street NW came about 3:45 p.m. He said the injury is not life-threatening.

Yellow and Green line trains bypassed the station during the investigation as trains shared a track between the U Street and Georgia Avenue stations. Buses were brought in to replace rail service at the Columbia Heights station.
A D.C. police spokesman initially said the victim was a juvenile.
