PETALING JAYA: Newly listed Nestcon Bhd has bagged a RM31.34mil job from Nexus EC Sdn Bhd for rock stabilisation works at a mixed development project in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Nestcon said its wholly-owned subsidiary Nestcon Infra Sdn Bhd has received the letter of award for the contract.
The contract works to be undertaken by Nestcon Infra comprise the construction and completion of the site clearance, earthworks, rock blasting works, geogrid walls works as well as road and drainage works.
Nexus EC is the geotechnical engineering consultant acting on behalf of the developer, a wholly-owned unit of Exsim Development Sdn Bhd.
Nestcon said the commencement date of the contract is expected to be on July 21, subject to the lifting of the movement control order (MCO) or enhanced MCO by the government or whether Nestcon Infra is able to obtain approval from the International Trade and Industry Ministry to commence works.
The construction period for the works, including obtaining the relevant authorities’ approval and mobilisation period, shall be within 18 months from the date of commencement.
