KUCHING: Caretaker Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan appears to be on course to retain his Bukit Sari seat for a fourth term.
According to state news channel TVS, unofficial results show that Awang Ali is leading by 1,156 votes as at 4.30pm on Saturday (Dec 18).
Awang Tegah has been the assemblyman for Bukit Sari since 2006.
The seat features a three-cornered fight between Awang Ali from Gabungan Parti Sarawak candidate, Riyah Basrah from Parti Bumi Kenyalang and Parti Sarawak Bersatu’s Alias Mail.
