IPOH: The flash flood situation in three Perak districts has improved and several temporary shelters are now closed.
These include the Kemas office and Kampung Rasau religious school in Muallim; the Teluk Intan Municipal Council Hall in Langkap; and the Kampung Klah Baru and Trolak Selatan Semai Bakti Hall in Batang Padang.
The number of people seeking temporary shelter at the three districts has also dropped from about 200 to about 130.
According to a Civil Defence Department spokesman, the temporary shelters at SJKT Trolak Pekan and SK Kuala Slim in Muallim and SJKC Chong Hwa Bidor in Batang Padang are still open.
It was reported earlier Thursday (May 26) that some 60 families had been relocated to the temporary shelters following flash floods that hit the three districts on Wednesday night.
