A dirt bike rider has died after a crash with an SUV in Prince George’s County.

       Local police said Peter Joven, 18, of Capitol Heights, died a day after his dirt bike crashed with the SUV along Pennsylvania Avenue near Silver Hill Road in the unincorporated part of District Heights.

       Police said an initial investigation found that Joven was going west on Silver Hill Road around 6:20 p.m. Friday when he got into the crash as he tried to cross Pennsylvania Avenue.

       He was taken to a hospital and died a day later. The driver of the SUV had minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
