Assistant senior coroner for Co Durham Crispin Oliver said yesterday: “My preliminary view is that the medical records do not reveal anything unusual.”
He added the inquest, to be held in September, would not require a jury.
The serial killer’s ex-wife Sonia has been invited to make a statement for the hearing.
Mr Oliver said the timeline will be from October 27, when Sutcliffe fell ill, to his death on November 13.
He also suffered from diabetes and heart disease.
Sutcliffe was serving life for the murders of 13 women and the attempted murder of seven others in the 1970s.
