Aldi shopper outraged by 'demon chill' product which 'children shouldn't see'

The angry shopper took offence to the product after spotting it in the branch in Netherton, Merseyside. The woman vented her fury on Facebook yesterday, branding the kit "absolutely vile".

Writing on a Facebook group, the shopper said: "Totally disgusted Aldi are selling this. Any advice on how to complain as a consumer or get a petition or something to have it removed from shelves?

"We should not have to see this in supermarkets nor should our children become familiar with this word. It's a total curse. Demonise your car??? Come on. This is absolutely vile! Any Christians amongst us or even people with common sense?"

But Liverpool Echo says the range of car care products are said to include the "essentials to overcome the harsh winter essentials".

In an advertisement for the product on the makers website, the strap line says "Demonize your car this winter with our CarPlan Demon Winter Range".

It then goes on to describe the product as "encompassing all the essentials you need to approach and overcome the harsh winter conditions that the UK has to offer, Demon has introduced a variety of products to assist you in combat this winter."

Aldi has been approached for comment.

The criticism comes after a diner claimed the label on Pizza Hut's tomato ketchup bottles is "not appropriate" for a family restaurant.

Adrian Shann, 31, was unimpressed with the restaurant's response last month, and has even contacted his MP in a desperate bid to get the logo changed immediately.
