The Countess, 56, offered insight into what Edward, 57, is like at home - and how likes to take the lead with barbecues. Aspects of her own diet have also piqued the interest of Royal fans.

       Sophie said of Edward: "He is very good at barbecues, and the children love those.

       "He takes our son fishing, does a lot of riding with our daughter, he is very engaged as a father."

       The Detox Kitchen's Lily Simpson told the Daily Mail about Sophie's healthy diet.

       Ms Simpson revealed: "A diet of plant-based foods and lean protein has had a huge impact on the appearance of skin.

       “As does keeping well hydrated and getting proper sleep."

       During the coronavirus pandemic, Sophie has volunteered to make food for NHS workers - and has shown off her own culinary skills.

       The Countess of Wessex also demonstrated she excelled in cooking in 2018, preparing an Indian flatbread while visiting Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall Gurdwara.

       The royal couple recently announced they were advertising a cook to join their royal household.

       The ad read: "As the primary cook in the Household of TRH The Earl and Countess of Wessex, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation and cooking of daily meals.

       “You will also monitor and replenish food supplies and equipment for the household.”

       Prince Edward married Sophie in 1999 at St. George’s Chapel.

       They live at Bagshot Park - around 11 miles from Windsor Castle - with their two children, Lady Louise Windsor and Lady Louise Viscount Severn
