Better quarterly results were seen for Telekom Malaysia Bhd, Pos Malaysia Bhd, Velesto Energy Bhd, UEM Sunrise Bhd, MBM Resources Bhd, Bumi Armada Bhd, Chin Hin Group Bhd, Genting Plantations Bhd, Mega First Corporation Bhd, Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Bhd, and Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd.
Meanwhile Tropicana Corp Bhd, Axiata Group Bhd, Supermax Corporation Bhd, Hong Leong Industries Bhd, and Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd saw their quarterly profit decline.
Affin Bank Bhd is mulling a special dividend to shareholders upon completion of its entire 63% stake sale in Affin Hwang Asset Management Bhd for RM1.42bil.
Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd group managing director Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah has been forced to sell more shares — this round involving 16.99 million shares representing a 0.458% stake.
For the day ahead, JF Apex said the FBM KLCI could extend its rebound with support 1,520 points following the positive performance in global markets.

Earlier, European stocks also advanced after PMI reading came higher than expected.
