Lady Louise Windsor, 17, is among thousands of pupils across Britain braced for A-Level results day. The royal teenager will receive grades for her teacher assessed AS-Levels today as written exams were cancelled due to the pandemic. Sophie, Countess of Wessex's daughter is a pupil at private school St Mary's Ascot where she is expected to stay another year to take her A-Levels.

       When it came to picking which subjects to take at AS-Level, it seems Louise followed some of her father's passions.

       Prince Edward, 57, is known for his love of the dramatic arts and studied history at Cambridge University.

       Lady Louise took AS-Levels in English, History, Politics and Drama and will receive her results on August 10.

       Depending on the grades she gets today she will decide which subject to axe and which three to carry on to A-Level.

       How she does in her AS-Levels may also inform what subject she goes on to study at university.

       Louise is 15th in line to the throne and has been raised as a private citizen outside the royal limelight.

       She is highly unlikely to ever become a working royal and is expected to pursue a career of her own separate from the Firm.

       Her mother Sophie, qualified as a secretary at West Kent College before going on to forge a career in PR.

       Edward broke away from tradition when he dropped out of the Royal Marines following university to pursue a career in TV production instead.

       Both Sophie and Edward had jobs apart from the Crown until 2002 when they took on full-time roles within the monarchy.

       The Countess has previously described Louise as "quite clever" and expressed her wish for her to go to university.

       While Louise's GCSE results were kept private last summer, she is known to have an artistic flair.

       Following the Wessexes' visit to the Queen and Philip at Balmoral last summer, a royal insider claimed the Queen likes to indulge Louise's creative side.

       They told the Sun: “The Queen loves the fact that Louise and James relish their time at Balmoral, and she has become particularly close to Louise, who seems to have become her favourite grandchild, closely followed by James."

       They added: "Louise also endeared herself to everyone by looking after William and Kate’s children when they were up here."

       "Because of her obvious artistic skill, the Queen allowed Louise to look through some of the collection of Queen Victoria’s Highlands sketches which are kept at Balmoral but are rarely dug out these days.”

       Lousie lives at Bagshot Park in Surrey with her parents and brother James, 13.

       The Wessexes are expected to travel to Balmoral to visit the Queen this summer.
