AYER KEROH: Melaka Barisan Nasional has unveiled its manifesto for the Melaka state polls, including plans to provide an allocation to Opposition representatives if it manages to form the state government.
Barisan election director Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the coalition also plans to amend the state constitution to allow the appointment of five additional state assemblymen, representing the youth and non-governmental organisations (NGO).
"This is to add five more representatives to represent those who are normally not in the state assembly.
"This also shows the braveness of the state government that will soon be formed in order to allow the participation of all. In order to do this, we need to get a two-thirds majority in the state assembly," he said in a speech that was broadcast live Wednesday (Nov 10).
