Royal expert Angela Levin has claimed that Prince Harry is trying to continue his mother Diana's legacy by doing things in a "very different way" to his brother Prince William. Angela Levin said that Meghan Markle had pushed her husband to "take a stand" and change the way he worked with his older brother.

       Angela Levin told the BBC: "He said, 'there's a lot of my mother in me, Meghan and I feel that the future is with the youth and with children'. He is trying to continue her legacy, but in a way, to make William not so important.

       "I'm very sorry to say this but I spent fifteen months with Prince Harry and I thought he was wonderful but he's a very changed man.

       "I think Meghan was shocked that he was number six and had to walk behind, she didn't like that and I think she's encouraged him to take a stand and be just as good, if not better in a very different way."

       She also said that Prince Harry was "clinging on to the royal connection".

       Her comments come as Prince Harry reunites with his brother this afternoon, to unveil a statue in their mother's honour.

       The brothers commissioned the statue in 2017 to commemorate what would have been Princess Diana's 60th birthday.

       Relations between Prince William and Prince Harry have been tense since the fallout from Megxit in January 2020.

       Since Harry and his wife Meghan Markle relocated to California, the two brothers have rarely been seen in public together.

       Their relationship is said to have worsened after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex conducted a 2-hour tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

       During the interview, they criticised members of the Royal Family and the monarchy as an institution.

       Allegations included Buckingham Palace ignoring the couple's requests for mental health support and a senior member of the Royal Family making a racist remark about the skin colour of their unborn child.

       Prince Harry described his relationship with William as "space" and said they were on "different paths".

       He also said that his brother and father were "trapped" in the institution and were unable to leave.

       Meghan Markle also touched upon her relationship with Prince William's wife, revealing that it was Kate who had in fact made her cry in the lead up to the royal wedding.

       The interview and Prince Harry's subsequent media appearances have caused a PR crisis for Buckingham Palace.

       Although the brothers displayed a united front at the funeral of Prince Philip, reconciliatory talks in private were reportedly unproductive.
