KUALA PILAH: Police are looking for a woman who allegedly stole jewellery worth some RM41,000 from a store here, according to District Police Chief Supt Amran Mohd Gani
A CCTV recording indicated the theft occurred at 4pm on Jan 3, with the suspect, believed to be in her 30s, wearing a face mask during the crime.
“She came into the store and asked to look at some items.
“While trying out two pieces of jewellery, she suddenly ran out of the store,” he said.
Supt Amran said the woman escaped with two gold bracelets weighing some 1.43kg worth RM41,085.
The case is being probed under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft, which carries a maximum jail term of 10 years upon conviction.
