The group’s spokesman explains that they were suddenly pulled aside by a police officer, who “said that our very presence could antagonise crowds and even lead to us being attacked”.
The officer was filmed directing the man, who was wearing a Jewish kippah, to stand in a certain spot, who then retaliated that he didn’t want to stand in that spot but wanted to leave.

“You are quite openly Jewish. This is a pro-Palestinian march. I am not accusing you of anything, but I am worried about the reaction to your presence.”

The hi-vis-clad officer said: “I don’t want anybody antagonising anybody. At the moment, Sir, you are quite openly Jewish.
“This is a pro-Palestinian march. I am not accusing you of anything but I am worried about the reaction to your presence.”
The Campaign Against Antisemitism has now said “enough is enough” and demanded major changes.
They have confirmed that on Saturday, April 27, the next scheduled anti-Israeli march in London, they are asking supporters to join them for a counter-march.
The clip has sparked fury both online and among parliamentarians.

Speaking to the Express, Jewish Conservative MP Andrew Percy said the video proves “what we have known for months, which is that the failure of the Met Police to tackle the extremist pro-Palestinian protestors has created a situation where looking or wearing Jewish symbols on the streets of London makes you a target for violence from these protestors”.
He said: “The police officer admits as much.
“What the Met should be doing is tackling these protestors, too many of whom have made their support for terrorism and hatred of Jews all too clear now for months.
“Instead of removing these extremists from our streets, it is Jews who are expected to hide away. Meanwhile, these apologists for terrorism continue to be indulged and protected.”
Baron Walney, the Government’s independent advisor on political violence described the clip as “disturbing and sinister”.
He said: “The fact the police said they were blocking his path to preserve his safety and stop the situation boiling over does not make the situation any less shocking - it gives the lie to the claim by protestors that these marches are safe and welcoming for Jewish people.”
Conservative MP Robert Largan simply added: “This is beyond appalling.”

The Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “For months we have been told that when anti-Israel protests course through London, It’s perfectly safe for Jews.
“Notwithstanding the antisemitic placards, the genocidal slogans, the glorification of Hamas, the Islamist flags, the swastikas, notwithstanding all of that, it’s still safe to be openly Jewish on the streets of London during these anti-israel protests.
“That’s what we’re told, and yet that’s not true in practice.”
A spokesman for the Met Police they are aware of the video and "fully acknowledge" the worry it has caused.
