THREE young inventors from SJK (T) Taman Melawati, who have won 11 gold medals in science innovation competitions over the years, have added another gold to their tally, Makkal Osai reported.

Yuvika Mahaganapathi, 11, and Kavisha Nagarajan and Kailesh Saravanan, both 12, already won two gold medals earlier this year.

The latest and third medal came from an innovation competition in Poland. The upgraded version of their soil quality testing tool took first spot among the 183 submissions from 16 countries.

Their invention was among five finalists selected by a panel of judges following online submissions and presentations.

Not resting on their laurels, the three young innovators said they are already working on upgrading their device to MySoil-MyPlant 2.0, which will be unveiled in August.

       > The Negri Sembilan government has disbursed RM70,000 in renovation funds to three Hindu temples, the daily also reported.

State executive councillor Arul Kumar Jambunathan handed over the funds.
