SEREMBAN: A 36-year-old supervisor at a Felda land scheme has been remanded for seven days to assist in a probe for allegedly abusing his position to misuse almost RM70,000 belonging to the settlers.
The money was proceeds from the sale of oil palm fruits belonging to settlers in a land scheme in Jelebu.
Magistrate Mohd Firdaus Salleh issued the order following an application by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer Mohd Shahrul Nizam Mohd Mokhtar.
It was learnt that the suspect was detained at the Felda office in Jempol at around 2pm on Tuesday (Feb 8).
