Lindsay Hoyle sparks Commons uproar
Sadiq Khan has been fact-checked after taking to social media platform X to hit out at Rishi Sunak over Gaza.
The London Mayor claimed the Prime Minister said that calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza is "not in anyone's interest" during yesterday's Commons debate which descended into chaos.
But users on X added a note which highlighted Mr Sunak's full comments providing more context.
The Labour politician said: "Rishi Sunak just said in Parliament that calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza is 'not in anyone's interest'.
"Try telling that to the families of the 29,000 Palestinians who have been killed so far and the millions suffering. I continue to call for an immediate ceasefire."

The note added to Mr Khan's post read: "Rishi Sunak actually said: 'He talks about the UN resolution but just calling for an immediate ceasefire now which collapses back into fighting within days or weeks is not in anyone’s interest. We must work towards a permanent ceasefire…'"
It comes after chaotic scenes in the Commons over a vote on a Gaza ceasefire.
Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle upended parliamentary convention by selecting Labour's bid to amend an SNP motion calling for an immediate ceasefire.

The Speaker disregarded warnings from the House of Commons Clerk over the unprecedented nature of the move, which provoked uproar in the chamber.
He apologised after a dramatic day that saw MPs pass Labour's amendment to the opposition day motion as Conservative and SNP politicians walked out of the debate in protest.
He is facing calls to resign with more than 50 MPs signing a motion of no confidence in him.
