PETALING JAYA: As 2021 comes to an end, many are looking forward to a better year ahead.
Readers of The Star took to social media to share what they hope to see in 2022.
With the country having gone through several types of movement control order and interstate travel ban since March 2019, some readers expressed hope that the Covid-19 pandemic would be handled well by the authorities.
Eugene Loo commented on Facebook, “For covid to go away for good. (sic)”
On Twitter Din Amri (@serigala) hopes the Covid-19 situation will improve.
“God willing – that covid is manageable. So that many Malaysians like me can come home to visit families without hassles and restrictions. (sic)” she tweeted.
Adding to this, lora (@Sara67284670) in a tweet, called for the authorities to allow the borders to be open for her to visit her family.
On Linkedin, Millie Chan hopes the authorities will look into making the Vaccinated Travel Lane more accessible to those travelling between Malaysia and Singapore.
Nateeya Chandra Segaran expressed hope that more remote working opportunities would arise in 2022.
“I have recently moved to Port Dickson, and I’m really facing some difficulties to get a job in the area.
“Most job offers (in) Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya come with attractive salary to cover my needs and commitments but just that I’m not able to travel 100km daily,” she added.
