KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch on Friday include Pharmaniaga Bhd, Kejuruteraan Asastera Bhd, Datasonic Group Bhd, KNM Group Bhd and Duopharma Biotech Bhd, according to JF Apex Research.
Pharmaniaga will be supplying Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine booster doses to private clinics and hospitals.
Kejuruteraan Asastera has bagged three new solar projects in Thailand.
Datasonic received a letter of extension from the Home Ministry to extend three contracts related to the supply of Malaysian passports.
KNM said it has missed coupon payment on bond issued in Thailand worth RM352.57mil.
JF Apex noted that Duopharma, NCT Alliance, MISC, Sime Darby Plantation, UOA REIT, Tashin and showed strong year-on-year earnings results.
On the other hand, Berjaya Sports Toto, Mega First, ELK-Desa Resources, Formosa Prosonic, DRB-Hicom and Star Media Group posted lower year-on-year results.
Overnight, the U.S. market ended mixed with S&P 500 rises in choppy sessions given after strong earnings results from Nvidia.
Meanwhile, European stocks tumbled as inflation data hit sentiment.
“Following the recent sideways movement, the FBM KLCI is expected to remain flat above the support of 1,515 points,” JF Apex said.
