Indian Embassy announces change in outsourcing centers as of Jan 11

       KUWAIT CITY, Jan 9: The Indian Embassy shall remain closed for consular services on Jan 10, 2022 as part of precautionary health measures related to Covid-19. However, emergency consular services will continue to be rendered by the mission, says a press release issued by the embassy. Passport services will continue at the three CKGS centers in Sharq, Jleeb Al-Shuyouk and Fahaheel on January 10.

       However, starting on Jan 11, 2022 Consular, Passport and Visa services will operate from the new BLS Centers as per the timings indicated below: In Sharq the new address will be 3rd Floor, Jawahara Tower, Khalid Ibn Al Waleed Street, Kuwait City; in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh (Abbasiya) the address will be: Mezzanine Floor, Olive Supermarket Building, Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh and in Fahaheel the new address will be Mezzanine Floor, Al Anoud Shopping Complex, Mecca Street, Fahaheel Working time at these new locations will be Saturday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

       All applications for passports, visas and other consular services, including attestation of consular documents will be received at the new premises. There will be no attestation services at the embassy premises. Death cases will continue to be registered at the embassy during normal working hours and also after office hours in case of emergency. Meanwhile, the embassy said in view of the Covid-19 situation due to the new variant Omicron, the Indian doctors from the Indian Doctors Forum (IDF), Kuwait have expressed their willingness to provide free of cost voluntary tele-consultations medical advice and counseling support to Indians in Kuwait.

       A complete list of the doctors indicating their specialties, contact details, consultation timings, languages spoken etc. has been posted on the Indian Embassy websites with a request to all associations and groups to circulate it to the community members. All the doctors have voluntarily consented to help, give advice and guide patients in distress during this COVID pandemic but in case of emergency visit the hospital in your respective area.

       However, in case of no answer due to any reason, leave a text message or voice message and the doctor will revert positively. No treatment/medications whatsoever will be recommended in the conversation as it is strongly prohibited by law. The service rendered by the doctors is purely of advisory nature and the individual may like to use it at his/her discretion for course of action. The Embassy of India in Kuwait does not bear any responsibility for consequences arising out of such advice.
