SHAH ALAM: Deceased Cradle Fund chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan's siblings say they hope the prosecution will appeal against High Court judge Datuk Ab Karim Ab Rahman's decision.

Justice Ab Karim had held that the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case against Nazrin's widow Samirah Muzaffar and two teenagers, who were accused of murdering him.

Given this, he freed all three from the murder charge that had been levelled against them.

Nazrin's brother Dr Abdul Aziz said that what the family wanted was merely justice for their brother.

"We are not blaming anyone but we do not want our brother's death to be in vain," he said.

According to Dr Abdul Aziz, he will speak to the prosecution to find out if an appeal will be filed against Tuesday's High Court decision.

"If an appeal is not filed, I will seek for an inquest to be held to find out my brother's cause of death," he said.

Also with Dr Abdul Aziz in court was Nazrin's sister, Che Elainee.

Teary-eyed Che Elainee also hoped her brother's death would not be in vain.

"We are not asking for anyone to be sent to the gallows, we just want justice for our brother," she said.
