There is not one establishment where members of the Royal Family are educated, with royals in recent years travelling the length and breadth of the country to go to different schools. However, some educational settings have proved popular with the royals, such as Gordonstoun and Eton College. Read on to find out where the Royal Family went to school.

Unlike younger members of the Royal Family, the Queen did not go to school like other children her age.

Then-Princess Elizabeth and her sister Princess Margaret were both educated at home by their governess, Marion Crawford.

The Princess was educated in constitutional history and law by Henry Marten, the Provost of Eton College.

Prince Charles received his early education at Cheam School in Headley.

The Royal Family's beloved late patriarch, Prince Philip, famously attended Gordonstoun School before attending the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth.

Prince Charles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward followed in the footsteps of their father and attended Gordonstoun School as well.

Gordonstoun is an independent boarding school based in Moray, Scotland.

The school was also attended by some of Prince Philip's grandchildren, including Princess Anne's children Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips.

Princess Anne attended the prestigious Benenden School in Kent.

However, before attending the school Anne had been educated at home until the age of 13.

Prince William and Prince Harry were both educated at Wetherby School and Ludgrove School, before continuing their education at Eton College.

William's future wife, Kate Middleton, attended Downe House before attending the highly prestigious boarding school, Marlborough College.

Coincidentally, Marlborough College was also the school attended by the Queen's granddaughter, Princess Eugenie.

Eugenie's sister Princess Beatrice attended St George's School in Ascot.

Prince Harry's future wife, Meghan Markle, attended the Little Red Schoolhouse and Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles.

Several of the younger royals also attended university, with William and Kate famously meeting when they both attended the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

Meghan attended Northwestern University in Illinois, while Prince Harry had a long career in the Army.

Princess Eugenie studied at Newcastle University, while Princess Beatrice attended Goldsmiths, University of London.
