PETALING JAYA: Tangkak voters should give local lad Ong Chee Siang (pic) a chance to serve the constituency, said Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The MCA president said Ong, 32, is a dedicated worker and also has great credentials - having served the government for eight years.
“Chee Siang works very hard to serve the people in his hometown. We saw how determined he was during the Covid-19 pandemic, where he and his team of volunteers frequently went down to the field to help people in the community who were in need,” said Dr Wee in a Facebook post.
Dr Wee said Ong is also youthful and tech savvy in his ways to reach out to the people.
“He uses social media platforms to interact with the people, such as going on air via Facebook Live.
“I hope the voters of Tangkak can give Ong Chee Siang a chance to serve here. Vote for Barisan Nasional,” said Dr Wee.
Dr Wee and MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon earlier visited Barisan’s Tangkak election operations room.
Ong is in a five-way contest in Tangkak.
The Johor state election is on March 12, with early voting on March 8.
