A man was fatally shot Monday night in the Anacostia section of Southeast Washington, according to D.C. police.

       The shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 1300 block of Good Hope Road SE.

       Police said the victim died at the scene; his name has not yet been released pending notification of relatives.

       Authorities said the attackers were three men armed with guns and wearing reflective vests.

       There have been 137 homicides in the District this year, up 10 percent from this time in 2020.
