Two migrants have been arrested and accused of striking police officers this week, Chicago police sources said. A third has also been placed into police custody.
On Tuesday, a woman battered a Near West District police officer a little before 11 a.m. at the district station, in the 1400 block of South Blue Island Avenue and fled the scene, the Police Department said. Police later found the woman at 5:17 p.m. nearby in the 1700 block of West Taylor Street, where she was placed into custody.
Ana Rondon, 20, was charged with one count of battery for making physical contact.
