       A 27-year-old man was fatally shot Friday morning in the Hyattsville area, Prince George’s County police said.

       Officers responded at about 8 a.m. for the report of “an unresponsive man outside an apartment complex” in the 400 block of Chillum Road, police said in a news release. They found William Crocket, of Washington, with multiple gunshot wounds.

       Crocket was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

       An investigation is ongoing.
