PETALING JAYA: Parkson Holdings Bhd’s Hong Kong-listed subsidiary, Parkson Retail Group Ltd (PRGL), has appointed Zhou Jia as acting chief executive officer from Jan 1.

       In a statement, the group said there was no fixed term of service for Zhou’s appointment.

       Zhou, 50, had served as PRGL’s chief operating officer since 2016.

       “In 1995, he joined the merchandising division of Chongqing Wanyou Parkson and was promoted to assistant general manager of Kunming Parkson in 2002.

       Zhou was promoted as the head of Kunming Parkson in 2004, the regional general manager in 2010 and the group’s senior operating officer in 2014,” the group said.

       Parkson noted Zhou is a director of various subsidiaries, associates and a joint venture of the group.

       Zhou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Yuzhou University (now known as Chongqing Technology and Business University).

       Parkson’s closed half a sen higher at 19.5 sen yesterday.
