EMCO ends at several localities in Sabah and Sarawak

       KUALA LUMPUR: The enhanced movement control order will end at several localities in Sabah and Sarawak on June 29 and June 30.

       Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic) said in Penampang, the enhanced MCO at Country Heights Apartment and Vista Minintod Apartment will end as scheduled on Tuesday (June 29).

       "A total of 274 screenings were conducted there with seven cases detected," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

       Meanwhile, he said the enhanced MCO at the PPR Taman Ehsan, Kudat, Sabah, would end as scheduled on Wednesday (June 30).

       "We conducted 311 screenings there with 17 cases reported. The Health Ministry has also confirmed a downward trend in cases, adding that there were no samples pending results.

       "Meanwhile, the enhanced MCO at Kampung Rancangan and Kampung Kijang Merotai, Kalabakan, Sabah would also end as scheduled on Wednesday.

       "We conducted 161 screenings which revealed 25 cases," he said.

       Ismail Sabri added that the enhanced MCO at Kampung Tanjung Batu Tengah and Taman Semarak Megah at Tawau, Sabah would also end as scheduled on Wednesday.

       "A total of 212 screenings were conducted with 38 cases reported there.

       "Meanwhile, the enhanced MCO at Kampung Rampayan and Kampung Kionsom Kecil at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah will also end as scheduled on Wednesday.

       "We conducted 541 screenings with 68 cases reported," he said.

       Ismail Sabri also said the enhanced MCO at Kampung Goebilt and Kampung Muara Tebas at Kuching, Sarawak would end as scheduled on Wednesday.

       He said 3,411 screenings were conducted with 70 cases reported.
