       TOKYO -- Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said at a Dec. 20 news conference that at least 180 people had become infected in a coronavirus cluster case at U.S. Marine Corps Camp Hansen in central Okinawa Prefecture.

       U.S. Forces Japan contacted the Japanese government over the matter.

       Matsuno said he has urged the U.S. side to have all people involved comply with instructions on behavioral management, and explained, "I have strongly requested that in case of a violation, strict measures be taken including some form of punishment."
