We will definitely win Punjab polls, said former chief minister Amarinder Singh on Friday after announcing an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the upcoming state assembly elections early next year.
“Winnability to be main criterion for seat-sharing," Singh said after meeting BJP leader Gajendra Shekhawat.

Shekhawat, also the BJP's Punjab in-charge, said, "We will contest Punjab assembly polls in alliance with Amarinder Singh's party."
After resigning as the chief minister, Singh quit the Congress and formed his own party named Punjab Lok Congress.
