KUALA BERANG: A total of 48,288 traders and employees have received their vaccines under the Retail Industry Vaccination (RiVAC) programme nationwide, says Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Rosol Wahid.

       He said of the total, 23,488 of them had received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

       “Our target is to vaccinate 500,000 employees in the retail and food sector by the end of the year to enable them to open their businesses.

       “We understand the vaccinated number so far has been low compared to the target, but the ministry is speaking with large companies as we plan to carry out RiVAC at their premises,” he said after presenting laptops to outstanding Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia students from Hulu Terengganu here yesterday. — Bernama
