SEGAMAT: The police are seeking the man known as "Abang Soyaa" who is claiming that the contract he had to run a stall in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Johor had been terminated without reason.

Segamat OCPD Supt Ahmad Zamry Marinsah said that the police are seeking cooperation from the man concerned to resolve the issue.

"As of Saturday (Jan 20), we have received two police reports over a viral video that was posted last Thursday (Jan 18).

"But so far, no police report has been made by the man known as Abang Soyaa," he said in a statement on Saturday.

Supt Ahmad Zamry said that both police reports have been handed over to the courts and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for further action.

"We would like to advise the public to stop creating any speculation that could lead to public unrest," he added.

In a statement, UiTM Johor said that its management and related unit will meet with the man concerned soon.
