TOKYO -- Twin giant panda cubs that were born at Ueno zoo in Japan's capital in June now each weigh more than 1 kilogram.
Ueno Zoological Gardens in Tokyo's Taito Ward has released the latest photos of the pandas. They have been growing healthily as they drink milk from their 16-year-old mother Shin Shin and milk formula.
According to the zoo, the male cub was 30 centimeters long and weighed 1,164 grams, while the female cub was 30.5 cm long and weighed 1,367 grams, as of July 26. They now both weigh about nine times more compared to when they were born on June 23. The zoo has been monitoring the pandas around the clock.
