A woman in her seventies has died after collapsing at a Wetherspoon pub in the centre of a Cornish city.
Emergency services were called to the Try Dowr at Lemon Quay in Truro at around 2pm on Saturday, March 1, after a woman in her seventies collapsed inside the venue.
Customers said the woman was standing at the back of the chain pub before she fell to the floor and lost consciousness.
They told CornwallLivethat she had "hit the decks" near a group of young women, one of whom initially tried to perform CPR before emergency services took over.
Officers asked punters to evacuate the premises after pronouncing the woman dead at the scene. Her death is reportedly not being treated as suspicious and her next of kin have been informed.

The spot is among the parts of Truro set to benefit from a £23.6m government fund as part of the Town Deals programme - involving the replacement of concrete walls around the Quay's subway and improving riverside access.

The medical incident came just days after a man in his seventies collapsed inside an accessible toilet at the Watch Maker Wetherspoons pub in Prescot, Merseyside, on Tuesday, February 25.
He was also given CPR by emergency services before being rushed to hospital.
The man was later confirmed to have died, the Liverpool Echo reported, with the pub closed until Wednesday morning to allow "the ambulance service to work unhindered" and the staff to "regroup" after being shaken by the "upset".
