Lee Anderson has emerged victorious in Ashfield after trouncing both Labour and the Tories.
Mr Anderson, the former deputy chairman of the Conservatives, became Reform UK's first Member of Parliament after defecting from the Tories in January, when he rebelled against Rishi Sunak's Rwanda Bill.

Now, he has become the party's first elected MP, after winning 17,062 votes, with Labour miles behind in second place with 11,554 votes for Rhea Keehn.
The Tory candidate Debbie Soloman won 3,271 votes, while the Lib Dem candidate got 619 votes. Independent candidate Jason Zadrozny won nearly double the amount of votes than the Tories, with 6,276 votes.
Elsewhere, his Reform UK colleagues Nigel Farage and Richard Tice are still waiting to find out whether they have been victorious in the seaside constiuencies of Clacton-on-Sea and Boston and Skegness.

Moments after his stunning victory, Mr Anderson posted a picture of an envelope with the House of Commons logo addressed to "Member of Parliament", with the caption: "I think the picture speaks for itself.
