KUALA PILAH: A student who was returning home after sitting for a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) trial examination at a school here was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a car near Kg Gedang in Terachi.

       Seri Menanti Fire and Rescue Department chief Mohd Sharif Ahmad said Shah Iskandar Nir Haszemi was killed on the spot in the 1.40pm accident on Tuesday (Nov 30) along the Seri Menanti-Ulu Bendul stretch.

       “Based on preliminary investigation, the driver was turning right into a village when the motorcyclist apparently lost control of his machine and crashed into the right door of the vehicle.

       “The driver suffered a broken leg and injuries to his face and chest,” he said in a statement.

       Mohd Sharif said the 29-year-old driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was later sent to the Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah in Kuala Pilah for treatment.
