Two vehicles were involved in the crash on the anti-clockwise carriageway near junction 31 at around 4.20am.

       One lane remains closed after two were initially shut.

       There are queues towards Lakeside and Purfleet.

       Police said there were no serious injuries in the crash.

       Essex Police said in a statement: "We were called shortly after 4.20am today, Wednesday 22 September, with reports of a two-vehicle collision on the anti-clockwise M25 close to junction 31.

       "No one was seriously injured."
